Fields of application

PANTARHOL^® MaxRetard 55 (VZ) is a hydration stabilising admixture designed for controlling the hydration process of concrete. The special product configuration allows the stabilisation of concrete for a long time period without negatively influencing its quality. PANTARHOL^® MaxRetard 55 (VZ) is suitable for challenging concrete applications where the prevention of concrete hydration is required such as:
> Hot weather conditions
> Long transport routes and conveying distances
> Demanding cements or aggregates
>  Shotcrete applications
>  Large continuous pours
>  Pre-batching of concrete for later use
>  Avoiding construction joints

Working principle

PANTARHOL^® MaxRetard 55 (VZ) stabilises the hy-dration process of cement avoiding it from reach-ing its initial set. This stabilisation is not permanent and is controlled by dosage rate. The concrete reattains normal hy-dration when the dosage effects of the hydration stabiliser diminish.
